Artizone is an online artisanal food market that brings local handcrafted groceries to the tables of quality-conscious consumers. As Artizone steadily expanded its services to metropolitan cities like Dallas and Chicago, there grew to be a need to spruce up their website and social media accounts with a fun and engaging promotional video. That’s when their buddies at Squat stepped in and produced a magically whimsical animated film about the secret lives of Artizone products.
Squat drew particular inspiration from the local, artisan quality of the food products. Artizone is not your typical industrial food manufacturer, where food shoots out of machines. Specialized chefs prepare every item with such care and love that you might imagine it coming alive when you weren’t looking, much in the way the toys do in Toy Story or the objects do in the castle in Beauty and the Beast. In fact, Beauty and the Beast gave us visual cues for the 2D illustrations of the food characters, the frame transitions and the rich, vibrant color palette.
We allowed the characters to tell the story – all the while singing Broadway-style – of how Artizone allows you to find exactly what you need at the highest quality without having to search or wait. The story follows the food from the time it’s placed in the delivery truck to the moment it lands on buyers’ doorsteps.
Our unique combination of 2D and 3D animation adds agility and dynamism to the film. This carnival of styles, colors, foods, and music works to create a stimulating and engaging experience for viewers that they won’t soon forget.
